Spinal Touch
![]()
Spinal Touch is a light touch technique for aligning the spine. It was developed in the 1900's by an American Engineer, John Hurley, who observed that pain and sickness was often accompanied by |
distortion of posture, hunched shoulders, head and neck forward and chest caved in.
Drawing on his awareness of the effects of gravity on buildings and his knowledge of acupuncture and other energy systems, he devised Spinal Touch, or Bio Mechanics, originally called Aquarian Age Healing, and worked very successfully, often with astounding results. Beginning with a three way postural assessment against a plumb line, the treatment continues with couch based light touch to specific points on the buttocks, spine, abdomen, shoulders and head, stimulating and releasing blockages in the spine, supporting organs and muscles and allowing the body gently to come into alignment with its centre of gravity at the sacrum. |
There are no contra-indications to treatment, however it is likely to increase the effectiveness of other natural therapies. It is gentle enough to be used in pregnancy and childbirth, on children, the elderly and even animals.
"Your spinal touch treatments were amazingly affective." Claire de Valero "Julia offered her Spinal Touch technique to my father in law who was in his eighties and very bent over. We watched the transformation of his posture over the time she worked with him and were amazed with the results". Sarah Finch Like to discuss Spinal Touch with Julia, or book an appointment?
