Scar Healing
Do you have cuts, scratches, surgical or caesarean scars, Knife, bullet or shrapnel wounds, burn or Kambo scars, meningitis scars, skin grafts or old bone breaks that need healing to allow Chi to flow naturally again?
It doesn't matter how old they are. Scar 50yrs old can still be treated and may well result in improvements to mobility, comfort or visual appearance. "Since my two caesareans... I felt numb and cut off from feeling, like I'd been sliced in half around my belly button. The scar healing is bringing us back together..." Donna Sibley

Where soft tissue has been wounded, scar tissue forms, to protect it and give it extra strength, much like a buffer to a building or an old stone wall. The same happens after breaking a bone.
Energy lines running across the site can be interrupted by the cut or break and find it difficult to penetrate dense scar material as it forms to protect it. So, although helping to hold the tissue together, the scar material can actually affect or alter the flow of Chi to other areas in the body and this, in turn, can leave feelings of weakness, inflexibility, disconnection even numbness and dysfunction. Sometimes the smallest of scars can be significant if they happen to cut across a key energy line. A caesarean scar that cuts right across the central meridian, is likely to have a huge effect on energy levels and cause strain elsewhere as the body tries to compensate for lack of abdominal strength. Julia works with gentle touch, flower essences, oils and emotional / energetic healing principles to gently realign the physical and emotional energetics of internal and external scar tissue and promote the flow of Chi through the affected area... she has techniques that are effective in both bone and soft tissue, even many years after the injury first occurred.
Although not guaranteed, visually, the scar material can often significantly reduce and eventually disappear, as integral strength returns to the area, flexibility of the scar tissue increases and the extra buffering, now no longer required, re-dissolves into the system for use elsewhere in the body. The treatment of small sites can usually be included in a regular massage session. However, larger or multiple sites may require a dedicated appointment time. Depending on the complexity of the scar tissue, follow-up session(s) (allowing weeks between) may also be required. To book, call Julia on 07833 545 008. |
